How To Tell Your Car’s Water Pump Is Damaged?

Leaking Coolant
A vehicle’s water pump has multiple seals and gaskets that ensure that the coolant does not leak and its flow remains constant from the radiator to the engine. Loose Pulley

Steam From The Radiator
If steam is coming out from the front of your car when you are driving or stopping it, it is a sure sign of an overheated engine. When the water pump is perfectly functional, it circulates coolant to the radiator and the engine maintains a consistent temperature. It is a good idea to park your car on the side of the road and contact a mechanic when you notice steam oozing from the front. Driving a car with an overheated engine can cause irreparable damage.
